Aloha! We have some news for you about the 1st day of a Vilnius zine fest! So don't miss a free market and an open air zine library, presentations of participants, talks about libraries, infoshops, alternative bookstores and anarchaprimitivizm, tea cocktails and a cinema tent, music and tasty food;) We'd also advise visitting a concert of "Farmer's Boulevard" in the evening!

Vilnius Zine Fest: Call for Participation
Yo! We gonna do it again. Vilnius Zine Fest will happen on 15-17 May and will gather together zine lovers from different places of the world, continuing the tradition of previous Vilnius and Minsk zine festivals.
This spring particular attention will be paid to radical geography, opportunities of contr-mapping of autonomous forces and borders of Europe. Thus, we decided to make a special Maps Day. Other big issue is creating things together, liberating zines from our shelves, distros and infoshops and putting them into a public space. For that a whole Day of Workshops is dedicated. And of course, we cannot go without presentations and discussions, zine exhibition and free fair, tasty veggie food and good music! Some details of the program are already available on this website, others will appear soon, as well as a list of participants. If you would like to share with your ideas, help with organizing, have some questions and suggestions, want to play some music/make a performance/zine reading or to confirm your participation please write to aggrrrh [at] riseup.net

Day #3, Workshops:
We propose you to take part in a number of workshops (most likely you’ll have time for one). They will happen during the whole day and the results will be available to all other groups in the evening.
The main idea is to liberate zines from our shelves, distros and infoshops – i.e. subcultural locations, and try to put them into a public space so that different people would have an access to them. But one important thing is to make it in a form of a game, to be unexpecteded and intriguing, not like a direct and boring propaganda. Another point is to try to use other forms of space rather than paper/internet for zine-making and see how this space can influence the contents and its perception.

It was quite surprising to me that ABB people never tried to contact zinefest crew directly but instead made interview with one zine editor (i will refer to him as E). I think that point of view of one those involved in zinefest organising may be interesting as well for wide public.

Вышел в свет журнал, подводящий итоги Минского фестиваля самиздата
Ура!
У нас есть фестивальные подарки к новому году.
1. Электронный архив журнала "Вясковыя могілкі" и газетки "Белачка". Эти знаменитые в узких кругах минской читающей молодёжи издания теперь доступны и в электронном виде.
2. Собственно фестивальный журнал.
Спасибо всем, кто приложил руку к этим творениям!

В первую очередь, вы найдёте в журнале стихи, которые зачитывались на открытии фестиваля в одном небезызвестном минском доме.-)
Тут есть дополненные и улучшенные (в других случаях - исправленные и сокращённые) тексты выступлений на открытой лекции про самиздат 13 сентября в небезызвестной серебрянской галерее.
Во время фестиваля случилась первая в Минске попытка провести свободную ярмарку. Из местных рефлексий никто не накропал, а вот московские товарищи прислали два размышления над собственными ярмарками, прошедшими ранее (летом).
Ещё тут есть дорожные впечатления от посещения двух европейских институций, связанных с самиздатом.
И, наконец, заказная юбилейная статья о чернильной мекке всей Беларуси - Климовичском ликёро-водочном - от наших могилёвских участников.
Некоторые материалы (в частности, статья Татьяны Ивановны Филимоновой и лекция Влада Тупикина) не поместились сюда целиком. Дом Плеханова Российской национальной библиотеки: история создания и материалы современных политических партий и общественных движений в его фондах
30 мая 1928 г., в день десятой годовщины со дня смерти Г. В. Плеханова, состоялось торжественное открытие Дома Плеханова, завершившее собой почти десять лет длившиеся переговоры о передаче Советскому союзу архива и личной библиотеки великого русского мыслителя-марксиста и революционера. Впервые с этой просьбой по инициативе В. И. Ленина Советское правительство обратилось к наследникам Георгия Валентиновича еще в августе 1918 г., три месяца спустя после кончины Георгия Валентиновича.
В соответствии с условиями дарения Дом Плеханова был придан Государственной Публичной библиотеке им. М. Е. Салтыкова-Щедрина (Ленинград) и разместился в специально выстроенном для этих целей здании; штат был подобран и укомплектован Р. М. Плехановой, руководившей Домом Плеханова в 1928-1939 гг. [1]
